Join Kamila Freitas for hours of art based on the natural world, wildlife and conservation.
Kamila de Freitas is from the interior of Brazil, born in the state of Minas Gerais. As a child, she was always in close contact with the environment, spending time on her grandfather's farm or hiking through state parks near her home. In 2014, she fulfilled her dream of graduating as a Biologist, and then continued on in her studies of the environment through technical and special certificates, and finally, a master's degree in Health, Society and the Environment. Kamila is driven by her roots and culture, and integrates that into her approach to art, viewing it as a language to boost reflection and awareness of our shared natural world. Today, she lives on Long Island where continues to work as an environmental educator, in support of sustainable practices and conservation of the environment
